Δελτίο τύπου της ΕΚΤ με θέμα “Digital payments continue to rise, albeit at a slower pace; cash remains a key payment method”
Στις 19 Δεκεμβρίου 2024, η Ευρωπαϊκή Κεντρική Τράπεζα δημοσίευσε δελτίο τύπου σύμφωνα με το οποίο:
- Cash most frequently used payment method in stores, although use has continued to decline
- Share of digital payment instruments continues to increase in value terms, with cards still dominant and share of mobile apps on the rise
- Majority of consumers value having option to pay with cash
Η επόμενη έκθεση της ΕΚΤ σχετικά με τις συνήθειες πληρωμών των καταναλωτών εντός της ευρωζώνης (SPACE) θα δημοσιευτεί το 2026.
