Greek banks contribute to the effort of tackling the health crisis
The Hellenic Bank Association wishes to remind to banking clientele of the technological possibilities/options (internet and mobile banking, ATM) provided by banks, for better servicing clients and in order to avoid overcrowding of branches.
Bill payments for telephony, electricity, water and public sector services (tax, insurance etc.), can be settled quickly, easily and safely from home. Fellow citizens who are not familiar with the new technologies are urged to contact respective call centers and perform through phone a large number of transactions. Additionally, they can be served through one of the 5.800 ATMs, with daily and 24-hours operation throughout Greek territory, and perform various banking transactions such as withdrawals, deposits, payments, balance and transaction statements updates.
It is noted that bank branches, throughout the health crisis, operated and continue to operate with sufficient staff, in accordance with instructions of the competent authorities, so that clients who prefer to visit a bank branch, despite the instructions, may come to it with the utmost security.
Banks, with the cooperation of citizens and competent authorities, will help tackle the pandemic and return to normality, as soon as possible.
